Fritzing | Communicating Do-It-Yourself electronics
Fritzing helps creatives to take the step from hands-on prototyping to independent professional manufacturing of technology
Fritzing is an open-source initiative to support designers, artists, researchers and hobbyists to work creatively with interactive electronics. A team of international researchers at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam developed this free software tool to grant an easy access to do-it-yourself electronics, which is very well perceived and widely used in the world of innovative makers and creatives.
Uleshka joined the team to create easy to understand information material such as PDFs and a new website (which is still in progress) to make it even easier for users to loose their inhibitions about technology and to get started. Technical and partly geeky language had to be transformed and reshaped into terminology that is appealing to everyone and above all: inviting and fun.
Goal: Finding out about Fritzing makes you curious and you cannot help but giving it a try. Fritzing grants the entry to selfmade technology and with very simple tools you can create anything from scratch.

Fritzing is essentially a free software tool which allows users to document their electronic prototypes, share them with others, teach electronics in a classroom, and create a Printed Circuit Board layout for professional manufacturing. An essential part of Fritizing is its website and web-community granting support, updates, tutorials and connecting people with similar interests.
